牛家营子镇素有“北沙参、桔梗之乡”，每年数十万亩中药材喜获丰收。据了解汇百川中药材种植合作社每年为社会各地药企提供桔梗数千吨，每季产出200-300吨干桔梗。近期牛家营子产地人气旺盛，药材热销，买货的商家较多，价格比较坚挺，现鲜货根据质量不等收购价在5.2-6元/公斤；干品走动也较为畅快，带皮货售价20-23元/公斤，去皮货34-36元/公斤左右。
